About Sue

Sue Sutton-Crack O' Dawn Morning Show, Pirate 93.5 FM

Hi, I’m Sue Sutton and I am at the helm as your Cap’n on the Crack O’ Dawn Morning Cruise. The show runs from 6 am – 9am Monday through Friday.

Join me at 6:35 for the Big Band Boogie Breakfast, 7:30 for The 5 Random Facts and 8:30 for Groaner Joke of the Day. In between there is tons of music from the 40’s through the 80’s, local news, weather and sports, along with interviews with locals in the community. It is very satisfying to connect with all the things that make our communities great! Pirate is a local, community-based and educationally licensed, so, if you want to have your business, non profit or event featured, I’m just an email away!

Although I started my radio career in San Diego in 1986, I’ve been up and down the radio dial in Northern Colorado since 1988. I have received the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association Awards for Best Radio Host Duo, Best Public Service Show producer, Best Talk Show segment and we’ve received 2nd place for Best Radio Station in the Best of NOCO for the last four years.

I’m in my 10th year here at Pirate Radio and couldn’t be happier. I love the music, community and listeners!

Call me. I’m in the studio from 6-10 am M-F 970-306-6935

I am Diana and am delighted to be a part of the awesome crew at 93.5 Pirate Radio. Thank you for your phone calls making me feel welcome.

My previous radio experience included being a member of a small Junior Achievement company that produced an hour long show prior to the Friday night football game broadcast on KLOV in Loveland. I also was a volunteer board operator for the Colorado Radio Information Service (CRIS) where I read news, comics, and advertisements for our blind listeners.

After getting married I joined my husband in his mobile DJ business as his assistant and occasionally performed solo for weddings and family reunions. Being a mobile DJ is very different from a radio station DJ, but I love them both. Even more, I love the music from the 40’s to the 90’s so Pirate Radio is right in my wheelhouse.

As your quartermaster, I have the privilege of sharing fabulous music with you from noon to 3pm, Monday through Friday. Playing the tunes you request, sharing bits of trivia about music, and having navigator Rick be a part of the show of Friday afternoons.

My past activities included helping put on races with the Sweetheart Runners Club, group gopher for Camp Isaiah, midway coordinator for the Loveland Corn Roast Festival, and as a Junior Achievement volunteer at the elementary school level. Currently, in addition to being a part of 93.5 Pirate Radio, I am also a language arts tutor for kids from kindergarten through seventh grade.

If you would like to share information about your company or non-profit organization please contact me at diana@pirateradio935.com to set something up. If you would like to sponsor more great music at Pirate Radio I can help you with that as well.

About Rochelle

Retro Rochelle

Retro Rochelle grew up on a farm in Northern Colorado riding in harvest trucks and listening to the top 40 hits of the 70’s!

She credits her Uncle Jim (Ullmann) for the introduction to “fun” music since her parents listened to primarily country genre.

Rochelle graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Journalism/TV/Radio,  yet entered what would be a 40 year career in real estate sales.

Now she is back to radio and comes to you on Saturday mornings with top 40 countdowns from various weeks in the 70’s.

George Gray started in radio back in 2002 with Newstalk and eventually landed at Greeley’s most listened to, 104.7FM Pirate radio in Greeley in 2011, where he hosts the morning show from 6-9am, M-F.

You will hear him occasionally on 93.5 FM Pirate radio as a fill-in or making announcements.

George is also an Elvis Tribute Artist with his band, the Elvis Experience.  They recreate what an Elvis concert would be like for old fans and new Elvis fans.
